The Monthly Epson SureColor F2000 Tube Wash is No More!

We are pleased to announce that, as of the middle of September, the Epson SC-F2000 monthly tube flush is no longer a requirement. You will be able to choose between the current monthly process or an all-new end-of-day two-minute procedure. Rather than flushing a quantity of white ink and cleaning fluid through the ink lines and system every 4-6 weeks, you instead apply 10ml of a new cleaning solution directly into the capping station before shutdown each day the printer is used. Cost for this new daily maintenance procedure will be approximately $10 per month.

To use this new process a free firmware update is required. The update will be available for download from the Epson Support site (Epson.com/support/f2000). We expect the new cleaning kit will be available here on the Equipment Zone site the second full week in September.
What was once the primary maintenance cost for Epson SC-F2000 owners can now be replaced with this new and simple daily cleaning procedure option. The firmware update is absolutely free on the Epson website. The Tube Cleaning Kit is $19.95 and includes three 150ml bottles of cleaning solution specific to this process.

- When powering down at the end of the workday, a reminder to select the tube wash function will appear on the menu screen. The reminder will also occur every 20 hours if the printer is not powered off.
- Open the top cover and press the appropriate menu button to activate the pump assembly.
- Drop 10ml of the new cleaning fluid directly into the suction cap. It will be immediately pulled into the pump assembly cleaning the ports and tubes.
- Power down your printer as normal.
- Repeat each day you operate the machine.
- Continue with normal CAP cleaning procedures.
