In our desire to make your Fast T-Jet Printer as productive and profitable as possible Equipment Zone has come out with a kit to install our new "Outer Maintenance Tank".

 

 

 

 

Currently, when you do a head cleaning, the waste ink or cleaning solution generated from the print head is "vacuumed" into the capping station and is then pumped and ejected through a hose into the maintenace tank filter (the large filter pads you see by the capping station) inside the machine. The "Outer Maintenance Tank System" is a hose setup which attaches to the end of the capping station pump hose and channels the waste ink and solution outside the printer to a tank bottle.

 

 

 

 

The tank bottle is mounted to the side of the printer. The bottle is translucent and you can easily see it filling and empty it when full.

 

There are several advantages. The maintenance tank filter inside the printer should stay fairly clean with the only waste then being deposited into it coming from the wipers that sweep the bottom of the print head. It should help eliminate the chance of a clog develping on the bottom of the capping station pump hose, which leads to ink backups and impaired head performance. The inside of the printer should stay cleaner since the waste will be piped to the outsde of the machine.

The "Outer Maintenance Tank Kit" is customer installable on both the T-Jet Standard (Red) and T-Jet2 printers. Please note that you will have to drill a hole on the side of the T-Jet cover. We have tried to make the kit as easy as possible to install and we include an installation DVD and a template for the hole location.
